The Best Scottish Weddings/Spring 2011 - 30 Ways to make your wedding WOW!
Rule Britannia! this fabulous edition of the Best Scottish Wedding Magazine has fashion pages fit for a princess and also this great feature on 30 ways to make your wedding wow and make your guests reminise long after the day has passed.
Two of our favour/venue event ideas are featured on page 25 of this lovely magazine. Feature NO. 14 "The Seeds of Love" which is an eco-favour gift idea of garden seeds, bulbs or small sapling trees as a thoughtful eco-friendly gift that will thrive long after the big day. Lovely saplings or bulbs can be displayed in tied bunches or small packages at the reception for guests to take on departure. Anemoies and Lavender are two of the prettiest to give. Little seed packets or small cherry blossom seedlings can also be used as table place settings which will not only add decoration to your table but also have a functional purpose. You can add little tags with them say "please be seeded". Beautiful spring trees: dogwood, saucer magnolia, hawthorn, star magnolia, redbud, peach, cherry, almond
For Autumn/Winter: oaks, aspen, maples, dogwood, elms, Scottish pine.
Feature No: 15 is our personalised custom candles which can be used in welcome bags for guests or as table gifts at place settings. Either way they can be personalised with the bride & groom's initials, wedding date and finished off with a satin ribbon to compliment the colour scheme of the day. Light them throughout the day to create a wonderful aroma too!

True Love... awh
Pink & Grey is a sweet colour combination for any wedding as Grey is a great base colour to build your wedding palette around. Grey can feature as a strong key colour with groomsmen and ushers in suits, with fine tailoring in shirts & ties and a hint of pink with their braces! http://www.anderson-sheppard.co.uk/
It can also look equally chic and sophisticated on bridesmaids with a hint of pale pink in the flower bouquets, ribbon detailing & sweet corsages.
That why today's spring wedding invitation choice is this lovely Calligraphy Bird Suite from the Martha Stewart range of Wedding Stationery. Shown printed in Grey letterpress printing on this hand made 100% cotton pale pink card stock and supplied with optional lined envelopes with silver tissue lining. What Save the Date or Invitation could look any prettier? http://www.magentaink.co.uk/stationery/designers/martha-stewart/weddings/invitations/

We had a lovely visit to our Vineyard studio by Scotland's most stylish cake & cookie designer Liggy Morgan. Her gorgeous cake shop is based in Edinburgh's trendy William St and from that base a team of four dedicated bakers and cake decorators work away producing the most adorable and delicious cakes, cupcakes and cookies.
I particular love her Rainbow Rose Birthday Cake and Secret Garden Birthday Cake which comes in Vanilla, Lemon, Chocolate, White Chocolate, Red Velvet and Coffee Flavour flavour. It's a pity my Birthday is in December!
